Formerly known as Rajpath, this expansive, tree-lined avenue was revamped and officially renamed Kartavya Path (Path of Duty) in 2022. It stretches straight from the gates of Rashtrapati Bhavan, down through Vijay Chowk, and past India Gate.
This is the very avenue where India showcases its military might and cultural diversity during the annual Republic Day Parade. The recent multi-million dollar redevelopment has made it significantly more pedestrian-friendly, adding expansive granite walkways, restored canals, modern amenity blocks, and beautifully maintained lawns spanning over 90 acres. It is spectacular at night when the monuments and pathways are illuminated.
